[How to] Split a Volume License

Some of our products are delivered as volume licenses marked by the suffix "-VLn" in the end of the product key. 

However, license activation from the software's user interface requires a free single license. For this sake, you'll have to split a single license from the volume license first. 

Split a volume license

1. Sign in to your (LC) Paragon Licensing Center customer account (https://lc.paragon-software.com).
2. Go to License Requests -> Split a Main License.
3. Follow the link Choose on list.
4. You'll see a list of your licenses. Divisible volume licenses are marked by the suffix "-VLn" in the end of the product key, n being the number of included licenses. Select one divisible volume license by clicking into the checkbox in this line.

5. You will be redirected to a dialogue page with the selected volume license. 

In an organization's customer account (B2B context) users belonging to the "Owner" or "Manager" groups can via the button Choose other holder assign the split single license to another user within the organization; this user will then be able to activate the license on his own by his credentials.

Eventually, click on the button Submit.
6. Wait a few seconds until the final message LICNG_SUCCESS is shown. 
7. In the list Products -> My Products the new single license appears with the suffix "-PEU" or "-BSU" in the end of the product key. The volume license concerned by the operation will be shown with a number decreased by 1 within the suffix "-VLn"; if the value had been"-VL2" before, the suffix "-VLn" disappears completely, i.e. this license has become a single license too. 
8. Now you can proceed to the online activation: the first free single license will be used automatically.
