uim_im_sys Driver Error After Paragon Hard Disk Manager 15 Installation

Scenario

After a successful installation of Paragon Hard Disk Manager 15 or after feature updating Windows, the following error appears on Windows starts:

“Unable to load a driver on this device

Driver: uim_im_sys

A security setting is preventing this driver from loading. You must adjust your settings to load this driver. "

Root cause

Hard Disk Manager 15 is not Windows11 compatible. Only early releases of Windows 10 are supported by that old product version. We strongly recommend to use up-to-date Hard Disk Manager version with modern Windows.

Solution

Upgrade to a new Hard Disk Manager version. It should be available in new Licensing Center. Uninstall HDM15 if modern version of Hard Disk Manager is already installed.
