NTFS for Mac keeps checking for updates or shows "Trial Expired" after removal

Scenario

You have removed NTFS for Mac, but still getting "New version available" or "Trial Expired" notifications

Reason

If you simply dragged the app to Trash -- other components were not uninstalled.

Solution 1

Please reinstall the product, then reboot and make sure the product is uninstalled correctly -- as described in this article: How To Uninstall Microsoft NTFS For Mac By Paragon Software
